Goodbye

One of the song of Celine Dion says that 'Goodbye' is the saddest word that we can see in the dictionary. I totally agree with it. This year has been so many goodbyes in my life. I said goodbye to my boyfriend of 6 years here on earth and I really cannot explain how sad I am right now. I said goodbye to 'Manang', our maid who served our family for many years because she had to be with her family in the province but I was so sad about it. I said goodbyes every time my students are graduating and trust me this is something that I really hate saying after 6 months of training and molding them to be World-Class Caregivers. Now, I have to say goodbye to my workmate, colleague, friend, and 'kakulitan' in our training center. This is so hard for me not because she's a great teacher but I really learned a lot from her. She has a charismatic teaching styles, strong willpower and very productive in the work. She also thought me the value of time especially when she's telling me how she balance her work, school and household chores. She left me with an impresionable mark in my heart and in my mind. I know she will go places from this decision and I would like to say "Thank You" to her for the shared knowledge and wisdom she has given me.

'Goodbye' happens after graduation in highschool or college. We say it to our favorite professors and to our classmates and friends, it may happen after our colleagues in the work have to resign because of opportunities abroad, it happens when our favorite tv show or series have to end, it happens when our pet lost or even our favorite toy destroyed when we were still young or our favorite gadget like cellphone was misplaced or get lost. Saying 'Goodbye' may be the saddest word for the both the receiver and the doer but it will give us lessons in life that only by this experience can we learn the value of time while we are with them. Its better to meet great people even they have to go in our lives than to isolate ourselves just to avoid the pain of 'Goodbye'.
